About The Director/Producer:
Sean Gallagher is a filmmaker with a passion for visual storytelling. As a graduate of SUNY Oneonta, he holds a BS in Mass Communication with minors in Communication Studies and Business Comm.

With a focus on civil rights, Sean is a  documentary filmmaker who received the Merit for ‘Artistic Contribution to Social Justice’ by the SUNY Oneonta Department of Africana & Latino Studies. He is currently directing his first full-length documentary, The Black List, which reveals the story behind the longest litigated civil rights case in American history.

Sean currently serves on the Technology Staff at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY. In the Spring of 2011, he was chosen by 914Inc. Magazine as one of “Westchester’s Wunderkinds,” professionals under the age of 30 noted for their ideas, ambitions and community involvement.

When not viewing the world behind the camera lens, Sean writes a haiku every day and is actively involved in spoken word performance. He is a member of the Intangible Collective, an arts family that aims to connect with and empower artists, audiences and communities through multiple mediums of creative expression via live performance, publications, new media, and educational workshops.
